CHICAGO — Hollywood legend Harold Ramis, best-known for his films “Caddyshack,” “Ghostbusters,” “Groundhog Day,” and “Animal House” died Monday morning at the age of 69.

According to his family, the writer-director passed away early in the morning at his Chicago home, surrounded by his family, according to TMZ.

He died from complications stemming from autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, a rare disease involving the swelling of blood vessels.
