(CNN) — In addition to Ricky Gervais and “Modern Family’s” Ty Burrell, the upcoming “Muppets” sequel may also star the one-half of the Golden Globes hosting duo: Tina Fey.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the “30 Rock” creator and star – who has actually appeared as a muppet on the NBC comedy – is in talks for a lead role.

This “Muppets” escapade, which is again being directed by James Bobin, takes place in Europe. If it all works out, Fey would portray a Russian gulag prison guard.

Burrell’s signed on to play an Interpol inspector, while Gervais’ gig is said to be akin to the role Jason Segel played in 2011’s “The Muppets.”

Given the character descriptions, THR is guessing that the movie might be a caper, but script details are hush-hush.
