LOS ANGELES — At the Laker-Pelicans game Wednesday night in New Orleans, it appears Will Ferrell lost control of his comedy and used too much force when he pitched a basketball at a cheerleader. The Anchorman 2 actor took to the court in what appeared to be a rage, and suddenly he threw the ball in the cheerleader’s face, shot from half-court, before being encircled and stopped by security.

Fellow cheerleaders surrounded the seemingly injured cheerleader while Ferrell tried to race from guards.

Alas, it was all for the filming of Ferrell’s  new movie, called “Daddy’s Home” according to IMDb.

Mark Wahlberg also stars.
