KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A metro woman has been reunited with her father after 41 years of living in different worlds.

Ramona Moechoe said the last time she was in the same room as her father, Raymond, seems like ages ago.

"I was 19. I was pregnant with my now 40-year-old daughter," she said.

She's now 60 years old and her father is 90 years old. He's been living in Osan, South Korea since the 1970's where he worked as an United States Air Force aircraft mechanic. A few months ago he delivered the news he was coming home.

"I was very happy. I was jumping up and down like a kid," said Ramona.

"It was very satisfactory to my soul to come back home and see my lovely daughter," said Raymond.

Raymond suffered a stoke and has glaucoma, causing him to lose most of his eyesight, but he's still aware of his drastically different surroundings.

"It feels like I'm coming to a strange land. Everything feels so strange. It's so far away in Korea to come back to Missouri," he said.

Helping him make the trip home was a couple from Boise, Idaho who serve as missionaries in South Korea. After Raymond's wife died, he came to them and asked for some help.

"He said he wanted to return home," said Dean Riding. "A week or so later we met with the embassy staff and they created a passport for Ray in one day, A couple of days later we were on the plane returning home."

They were there to witness the special reunion between this father and daugher.

"It's really rewarding to see something something out and see it until it's finished," said Dean.

"I feel like things are complete and I needed to see my father. I went on with my life and my career, but I felt like something was missing, and it was. It was my daddy," said Ramona.

Now that he's home, Raymond says he's here to stay.

"No more flying for this old man," he joked.
