KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Fire broke out at a Kansas City restaurant Sunday evening while a Bible study took place next door.

The fire happened near 58th and Prospect inside a restaurant located on the backside of the Get It To Go convenience store. The restaurant was closed and no one was injured in the blaze, but church goers next door at Greater Faith Missionary Baptist Church were holding a Bible study.

"I'm just glad nobody was hurt because nobody was in there," said Roger Stringer. "We had no idea because normally the store is open on Sundays, so we didn't know if someone was in there and injured or anything."

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
