Fire crews investigate fire at vacant KCMO home

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Firefighters in Kansas City, Mo. responded to reports of a house fire early Monday morning.

Firefighters said that the house was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived just after 4:30 a.m.

No injuries have been reported according to fire fighters. The home, which is in the 5000 block of Walrond Ave., was vacant, but officials on the scene said the home is a complete loss.

Firefighters said that the fire department could see flames from its station at Cleaver and Prospect.

Fire investigators were on the scene trying to determine the cause of the fire.  Four fire trucks, several ambulances were on the scene as well.
