KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Some of Kansas City’s tiniest got a head start on Halloween Tuesday at St. Luke’s Hospital.

The March of Dimes delivered teeny, tiny costumes to babies in the NICU.

March of Dimes volunteers made about 40 costumes including bugs, butterflies and Royals players.

The Behnkes, who have been visiting little William since August, were just one of the families to receive a costume.

Volunteers say they want to make sure families aren’t missing out on those “firsts” moments during the holidays.

The Behnkes don’t how long they’ll be at the hospital, but March of Dimes is making plans for families that will be at the hospital during Thanksgiving and Christmas, including a 12 days of Christmas giveaway.
