KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Harley Davidson Factory in Kansas City, Mo. says it will be laying off between 130-140 employees effective June 30th, 2013. Seventy-five of those workers are casual employees or season workers. Harley Davidson says those employees help during the seasonal surge production.

Benjamin Stark has worked at the factory for two years in the paint department. Stark was told at an employee meeting May 6th, that he is one the ones being laid off.

"I was just absolutely devastated," said Stark.  "The first thing that came to my mind is home am I going to make my house payment?"

Stark lives in Smithville, Mo. with his wife and teenage boys , but says his work family is something that will be hard to part with.

"They're just all in shock, people are walking around like zombies, just in a daze," said Stark"

Stark says he has applied for job at the Ford plant but at this point he hasn't heard anything back.
