NEW YORK CITY — A woman’s experiment in New York City produced the results she was likely expecting and quite familiar with already.

For ten hours Shoshana Roberts walked around the city, never talking, wearing dark jeans and a crewneck T-shirt.

The video was posted to YouTube by a non-profit group called Hollaback, which is committed to ending street harassment.

At the end of the video, Hollaback tallied the number of times Roberts experienced verbal harassment, which basically amounted to about every few minutes for ten hours.

“This doesn’t include the countless winks, whistles, etc,” wrote the filmmaker.
