KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police say human remains found on December 6 are a woman who has been missing since May 18. Kansas City police say the Jackson County Medical Examiner has identified the remains found near Vivion and NE Davidson Road as mom Melissa Doyle, who had last been seen near 47th and Antioch when her missing person's bulletin was issued.

Her cause of death is still undetermined, and police haven't said if foul play is suspected.

Worried family members tried desperately to find Doyle, and passed out flyers where her car was found at Anita B. Gorman Park in May.

"The hardest part of everything is just not being around my mom, because I'm used to being with her, but she's just not here right now and it makes me really sad," daughter Madison told FOX 4 that day.

Investigators say they're working collaboratively with the medical examiner to determine how she died.
