INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — The Independence Police Department issued a statement Friday advising citizens, specifically parents, to be cautious of a suspicious vehicle that approached a child at a bus stop Thursday morning.
Police said someone reported that an older model late 70s or early 80s truck with dark tinted windows was driving suspiciously around a bus stop in the area of Truman Road and River Boulevard on Thursday, Nov. 14. The truck was reportedly driving slowly behind a child who was walking to a school bus stop. No other information on the truck or its occupants was given.
Independence police said they will increase patrols in the area.
