JOHNSON COUNTY, Kan. — Big traffic changes are coming to Johnson County this weekend as the Gateway Project continues.
Starting Friday, May 20 at 9 p.m., all lanes of northbound I-35 at I-435 will be fully closed for former flyover bridge ramp demolition work. They are reopening at 10 a.m., the following day.
All lanes of eastbound I-435 at I-35 fully closed for bridge demolition work beginning at 8 p.m., Friday, May 20 and reopening at 5 a.m., on Monday, May 23.
All lanes of westbound I-435 at I-35 fully closed for bridge demolition work beginning at 10 p.m., Friday, May 20 and reopening at 5 a.m., on Monday
There will be multiple signed detours for this closure. Project work is scheduled to be completed on Monday, May 23.
