Kansas City Man Charged with 2nd Degree Murder

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City man faces murder charges after police say he shot and killed a man on Christmas Eve. The Jackson County prosecutor’s officer  charged 26-year-old Kenyan Jones with second-degree murder and armed criminal action.

Kansas City Police found 31-year-old Darnell Pearson’s body near an apartment building at 10th & Harrison. Police said Pearson was a prostitute and, after learning Pearson was a man, Jones shot him.

Prosecutors requested a cash bond of $250,000
