Kansas City police investigate fatal shooting at park near 113th and Ruskin Way

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City police are investigating after a man was shot and killed near Ruskin Way Park.

Just after 8 p.m. KCPD officers were dispatched to 114th and Eastern Avenue. When they arrived, they found an unresponsive man near 113th Terrace and Ruskin Way.

Police said he was shot. Witnesses said there had been an argument before the shooting.

Officers rendered aid and called EMS, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has since been identified as 25-year-old Quindell Burrell.

Witnesses say the suspect left in an unknown direction in a dark-colored vehicle.
