2 shot, 1 killed near dollar store parking lot at Truman and Oakley

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Homicide investigators are at the scene of a deadly shooting on Thursday morning where an ambulance picked up a victim at a Dollar General at E. Truman Road and Oakley.

Just before 11:30 officers were dispatched to the area on a shooting call.

Once they arrived, they found one black man that had been shot. That man was pronounced dead at the scene.

At the Dollar General, police found a second victim, also a black man, who had been shot. He was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

Police believe the shooting happened at a residence near the store and several people are being interviewed.

Investigators are not looking for additional suspects at this time.
