KANSAS CITY, Mo. – All of the major highways across Kansas are open again after a storm dropped up to 10 inches of snow in some parts of the state.

On Tuesday, stretches of U.S. highways 50, 54, 83 and 160 as well as Kansas Highway 4 were closed by the heavy snow. Interstate 70 was also closed in the eastbound lanes west of Hays. All of those roads are now open again, but officials say that drivers should remain cautious because of slick or snow-packed roads.

Nearly all roads in Missouri are clear with the exception of northwest Missouri near St. Joseph, where some roads are partly covered by snow.
