KANSAS CITY, Kan. — A registered sex offender was charged in a Kansas federal court on Thursday with taking a 16-year-old girl across state lines from Virginia to KCK to have sex with him.
Federal prosecutors charged Logan Viquesney, 20, with one count of interstate transportation of a minor to engage in sexual activity. The girl was living with her grandparents in Virginia.
According to investigators, Viquesney drove to Dumphries, Virginia and picked up the girl and then brought her back to KCK. Police arrested Viquesney in a parking lot on Wednesday according to a federal complaint after investigators were tipped off to his location.
Viquesney was previously convicted in Johnson County, Kan., for indecent solicitation of a 12-year-old. He was sentenced to probation, which was revoked in February according to court records.
