KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- For the second time in just three months a Kansas City home caught on fire Friday.

The homeowner tells FOX 4 her two-story home near Northeast 113th Terrace and North Tracy was in the process of undergoing renovations because it was damaged in a fire in March.

She says she and her husband were living in apartments nearby and thankfully most of their belongings were out of the house because of renovations. She says the only thing inside was construction equipment from the contractor, but due to the damage of two fires in such a short timer period, she's not sure the home will even be livable.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Neighbor Dylon Pollock captured video of the flames.
