KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City police say one person died after a crash in Midtown Thursday evening.
According to police, officers responded to a two-vehicle crash in the area of Penn Valley Drive and West 29th Street around 5:30 p.m.
According to police a white Saturn Aura was traveling north on Broadway at a high rate of speed. Where the road curved, the driver hit the curb to the right and rode the curb around to the curve to the culvert where the Saturn traveled back onto the road.
The Saturn was sideways when it went into the southbound lanes of traffic near West 29th Street. That’s when the Saturn was T-boned by a red Fiat.
The driver of the Saturn, an adult man, was taken to the hospital, but later died of his injuries. The driver of the Fiat was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
