KC police investigating after body found in vehicle with gunshot wound Monday morning

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A homicide investigation is underway after a body was found in a vehicle Monday morning.

The body was found in a vehicle just before 10 a.m. near 67th and Walrond in Kansas City, Missouri.

Police said the victim sustained an apparent gunshot wound. He has been identified as 40-year-old Derrick White.

No suspect information has been released at this time.
