KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The City of Kansas City, Mo., is urging people to be ready for the storm. Officials held a briefing on Monday evening and expect the impending snowstorm to pack quite a punch.
Whiteout conditions could be included as part of this storm. KC Mayor Sly James and his team wants people to stay home and stay off the streets.
If you think the current snow and ice packed streets are a hazard, the city says Tuesday’s snowstorm will be worse. In order for snow plow operators to do their job, the mayor suggests you move your vehicle off the street. If you must park on the street, park on the west side of streets that run north and south and park on the north side of streets that run east and west. The city says parking your car off the street allows snow plow trucks to remove the snow better.
