KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- In the days after the Boston Marathon bombing on April 15, 2013, Kansas City runners pledged to return. Several of them made good on that promise and ran the Boston Marathon Monday.

The tone was somber as runners arrived to Kansas City International Airport following the tragedy. On Monday night, it was a much different scene as runners returning home walked off the plane proud of themselves and the city of Boston. FOX 4’s Eric Burke reports from KCI in the video.
