KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A school bus flipped on its side Thursday morning at Raytown Road and Blue Ridge Cutoff, injuring two adults on board.

According to police, the bus driver told them she lost control at about 8 a.m., and crashed into a pole. Two special needs students were on board, and they suffered no immediate injuries. The bus driver and the bus monitor had minor injuries.

When the bus crashed into the pole, power lines came down and witnesses reported seeing a small fire there, but the lines were never on the bus.

Investigators thought they’d be in the area until about 11 a.m., completing their accident report.
