KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are investigating after a woman says a man, who police are calling her ex-boyfriend, kidnapped her early Wednesday morning and drove her vehicle around with her inside for hours before eventually pushing her out of the car.

Officers were dispatched to the 4000 block of Olive around 5:13 p.m., Wednesday in regard to a strong armed robbery.

The victim told responding officers that someone forced inside her vehicle and kidnapped her around 1 a.m. The victim said the suspect drove around with her in the vehicle and refused to let her out. Eventually around 5 p.m., the suspect pushed the victim out of the vehicle near her residence.

The victim told police she ran inside of her home to call for help.

According to police, the victim only suffered minor injuries.

Police have since said the suspect is the woman’s ex-boyfriend.
