GRANDVIEW, Mo. — A Kansas City, Kan., man has been charged in the stabbing of a former girlfriend. Robert A. Moore, 34, faces Domestic Assault 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action charges.

Court documents say Moore went to his former girlfriend’s Grandview home and attacked her with a hunting knife. She later told police she would’ve likely died if one of her friends hadn’t knocked Moore off of her.

The woman received close to 200 stitches for cuts on her face and arms. He then left the residence and stabbed himself.

Police responded to the home. They were able to pull Moore over on 71 Highway and he was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
