KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police in KCMO are searching for a driver who they say is responsible for a hit-and-run early Tuesday morning.
The accident happened near 18th and Lawn and was first reported as a non-injury accident.
Police said during the chase the suspect hit speeds of up to 100 mph. The suspect also cut through residential yards.
Police confirm that they stopped chasing the suspect because he was not driving safely.
Police described the suspect as a black male who was wearing a gray or black hoodie between 20 and 30 years old. He was last seen the area of Van Brunt and Smart.
The extent of injuries to the pedestrian hit is unknown.
