KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas City Missouri police say they are investigating a robbery at Walgreens Thursday morning.

The robbery happened at the Walgreens near 39th and Broadway at 4:13 a.m.

Investigators say the suspect walked in with a gun and pointed it at the employee at the front desk. The suspect was able to get away with the cash in the till.

According to police, no one was injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as a black male between 25 and 30 years old. He was last seen wearing a gray scarf, gray hoodie and black pants. Police also say he was armed with a gun and fled west from the scene.

The store closed for 90 minutes while crime scene investigators gathered more information but has since reopened.

The robbery happened in the same area where a woman says she was carjacked at gunpoint in early December.
