KCMO police search for two suspects in bank robbery

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas City Missouri police are searching for two suspects they say were involved in bank robbery late Friday morning.

The robbery happened at 9:12 a.m. at Bank Midwest in the 7900 block of Ward Parkway.

The suspects were last seen heading east away from the bank in a silver Ford pickup with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The first suspect is described as a light-complected black male, 6' tall and 185 pounds. He was wearing a black and gray knit sweater, black knit mask and gray gloves.

The second suspect is described as light-complected black male, 5'9" tall and 160 pounds. He had a mustache and was wearing all black with a black knit mask and gray gloves.

The FBI says both suspects were armed and made verbal demands for cash.

This is the second time the bank has been robbed in less than four months. During the previous robbery, two people walked into the bank with black ski masks on and were carrying handguns. No one was hurt during the robbery.
