KANSAS CITY, Mo.– Kansas City, Missouri Police Department released the identity of a homicide who died Saturday afternoon.

Officers say someone shot and killed 23-year-old Donell James near 86th and Drury Avenue. Police found his body in an apartment complex parking lot. 

Police say citizens provided CPR to James and officers immediately took over until EMS arrived. EMS responded, but James died at the scene.
