LAWRENCE, Kan. — Police at the University of Kansas arrested a 19-year-old on suspicion of rape.
The university’s public safety office said the rape happened in one of KU’s dorms on Sept. 16. Officers said it was reported Wednesday.
Investigators said they investigated and determined that there was enough evidence to arrest the suspect. The suspect is now held in Douglas County jail.
The reported rape in the dorm happened around the same time allegations surfaced about a fraternity member sexually assaulting a young woman. Police said they are also aware of the sexual assault allegations involving the fraternity member, but have not release additional details, or made an arrest in the case.
