Man shot and killed near 15th and Cleveland in KCK

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — KCK police say one man is dead following a shooting Wednesday night.

Police reported the deadly shooting just after 7:30 p.m. in the area of 15th and Cleveland, a few blocks north of Parallel Parkway.

No suspect information has been released at this time.

The victim has not been identified. A man at the scene claiming to be the victim’s father was very emotional in saying he is “tired of people in his community killing each other.”

Shortly before the shooting, neighbors tell FOX4 there were people congregated in front of a home.

Police are continuing to investigate what lead up to the killing.

No further injuries have been reported at this time.

This marks the 14th homicide in KCK for 2019.
