KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A liquor store was heavily damaged in an overnight fire near Blue Ridge and Bannister Road in Kansas City, Mo.
Fire broke out at Deluxe Party Shop shortly before 2 a.m. on Thursday. A police officer driving by spotted the fire and reported it.
When firefighters arrived, they had to battle heavy smoke and flames, but were able to keep the fire from spreading to two nearby clothing stores located in the strip mall.
No one was injured in the blaze. The cause remains under investigation.
