KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A metro woman is outraged after police say a man exposed himself to young girls at Oceans of Fun.

William Alex Kendrick, 66, is behind bars and facing two charges for showing his private parts at the popular water park. The victims in this case were 12 and 13-year-old girls.

Kendrick is facing charges for sexual misconduct involving a child by indecent exposure. He's also facing assault in the third degree because court documents say he grabbed a 13-year-old girl's bottom.

Oceans of Fun was about to close on Thursday when this allegedly happened at the wave pool. Court records say a 12-year-old girl was underwater when she says Kendrick walked up to her with his penis out of his swim shorts. She got scared, left the pool, and ran to tell her father. Her father found Kendrick and hit him.

Another girl, 13, told police Kendrick kept getting close to her and a friend in the wave pool while they were swimming. She told officers Kendrick grabbed her butt. Her friend told police Kendrick kept brushing up against her.

A witness was there with her grandkids and said she's simply disgusted.

“We spent a lot of money because you're talking, we've got kids and grandchildren that all have passes, and I don't want to take them places where they're in danger,” said Merry Kurtz.

Oceans of Fun wasn't available for an on-camera interview on Friday. FOX 4 did a statement from them over the phone:

"The safety and security of our guests and employees is our highest priority. We're aware of the situation and it's being investigated by local authorities."

Police say Kendrick said nothing about his arrest, but did tell police he wanted to prosecute the father who hit him.
