KANSAS CITY, Kan. — A railway worker died Monday morning at a rail yard near I-635 and Kansas Ave., when he fell into a car full of grain.
According to the Kansas City, Kan. Fire Dept., the man sunk to the bottom of the train car and he died before crews could reach him.
Fire rescue crews were on the scene within 4 minutes of the call for help that was made a little before 9:30 a.m.
Officials say the accident occurred during the transfer process of moving grain from the rail car to a semi trailer.
His name has not been released.
