KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are investigating after a late-night homicide in Kansas City, Mo., Tuesday.
Officers responded to Independence Avenue and Van Brunt around 10:19 p.m. They found 30-year-old Anthony Martinez of Kansas City, Mo., dead from apparent gunshot wounds behind the wheel of a car.
A passenger had also been shot and was taken to the hospital. The passenger is described as a Hispanic female in her 20s and is said to be in stable condition.
Police learned two cars were shooting at each other but don’t have a description yet of the other car involved.
