KALISPELL, Mont. — A man trying to create a Bigfoot hoax was killed after being struck by two cars on a Montana highway on Sunday night.
According to a report from NBCMontana.com, friends say that Randy Lee Tenley, 44, was wearing a military-style camouflage ghillie suit in an attempt to make people think that they were seeing a Sasquatch when he was struck and killed on U.S. 93 south of Kalispell on Sunday evening.
Authourities say that Tenley was struck first by a car driven by a 15-year-old girl, then by another car driven by a 17-year-old girl as his body lay on the highway.
“He probably would not have been very easy to see at all,” Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Jim Schneider told NBCMontana.com.
Authorities are waiting for a toxicology report to determine if alcohol was involved.
