Overland Park police searching for clues after man leaving IHOP reports hearing gunshots from car following him

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Police in Overland Park are investigating an aggravated assault that occurred early Monday morning.

The victim told police that around 1:30 a.m., a black sedan began following them as they left the IHOP on 119th Street. While driving westbound on 119th, near the intersection with Metcalf Avenue, the victim reported hearing at least one gunshot.

The victim reportedly heard three more shots from as the car continued to follow. Fortunately, no one was injured.

The suspect vehicle was last seen around 123rd and Lowell.

Police have not released a description of the suspects at this time.
