KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are investigating a shooting that happened Saturday evening near 57th Street and Troost Avenue.

Police 42-year-old Derrick Wren of Kansas City, Mo., was shot near Bob’s N Motion bar and taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died. It happened shortly before 8 p.m.

FOX 4 was at the scene Saturday night where the block was taped off and police were talking to witnesses at the scene.

Back in September, a bouncer who worked at this bar, a father of three and a former OSU basketball player, was killed inside when he was trying to break up a fight.

No arrests have been made. Police are still investigating.
