Mizzou, K-State Accept Bowl Invites

LAWRENCE, Kan. — The University of Missouri and Kansas State have accepted invitations to play in their respective 2011 bowl games.

Mizzou will play in the AdvoCare V100 Independence Bowl against the North Carolina Tar Heels on Dec. 26 in Shreveport, La. The game will kickoff at 4 p.m. CDT and will be televised live on ESPN2.

K-State has accepted an invitation to play No. 6 Arkansas in the 2012 AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic on January 6 in Arlington, Texas.

The game will be played at Cowboys Stadium at 7 p.m. CDT with a nationwide television audience watching on FOX.
