INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — One person is dead after a two-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle Tuesday night.

Police say the accident occurred around 10:35 p.m., near Forest and White Oak.

According to investigators, a northbound motorcycle struck a vehicle that was attempting to make a left turn from westbound White Oak.

The driver of the westbound vehicle was taken to the hospital to be treated for non life-threatening injuries. The motorcyclist died from his injuries.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, and police have yet to release the identity of the victim.
