OLATHE, Kan. — Olathe police are asking for the public’s help in identifying an attempted armed robbery suspect from April 27.

The suspect entered the Subway restaurant at College and Lone Elm through the back door. The man pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded cash. However, police say the clerk refused after noticing it was a BB gun.

Police said the man ran out the front door, but left his sunglasses and BB gun behind.

The man was in his late teens or early 20s, 6’2″ tall and weighed around 150 pounds with a clean shaven head. There was also acne scarring on his cheeks, police said.
