OLATHE, Kan. -- Prosecutors have charged Stephen M. Collier with first-degree murder in the death of Susanne Goslin, who was found dead on Wednesday, Dec. 28, two days after police cited her for assault.

According to Olathe police, Goslin was cited for assault on September 26. The victims in the case, according to the police report, were Stephen and Virginia Collier, the owners of the home where Goslin also lived. Police said the Colliers declined to prosecute Goslin after the assault.

Goslin moved into the Collier's residence earlier this year. Neighbors said she lived in the home to take care of Virginia Collier, who suffers from a terminal illness.

Mike Nguyen said he met Goslin a couple of times after buying her home in Shawnee while she was in the middle of a divorce. Police knocked on his door around 8 p.m. Wednesday, trying to get in touch with her ex-husband.

Olathe police said they've moved Virginia Collier to another location where her medical needs are being met.

Goslin's autopsy results are expected to be released Friday.

Police have not released a cause of death, but said Goslin was found at a home in the 1300 block of E. 153rd Street in Olathe. Autopsy results are expected to be back on Friday.
