OLATHE, Kan. — There’s a lot of fun things going on in Olathe. The city is celebrating Old Settlers Days.
It’s a time for those born and raised in Olathe to gather and celebrate. The annual event is in its 116th year.
There are hundreds of vendors: food, arts and craft. Most items sold in the crafts section is homemade. Shawn Swander is a photographer based in Olathe. It’s his second year as a vendor, but he’s no stranger to the event.
“I just liked to walk through and my parents would drag me out of the booths so I wouldn’t be picking up the knickknacks and trade show things. I never thought I’d be doing it myself,” he said.
If you get rained out, there’s still tomorrow to check out festivities. For more information, visit johnsoncountyoldsettlers.com.
