KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person has died after a crash near US 71 Highway and Bannister.
A Johnson County, Missouri, ambulance was traveling northbound on 71 Highway in the number two lane of travel.
On the Bannister Road overpass, the driver lost control of the vehicle, left the the roadway to the left and overturned twice.
The patient being transported in the ambulance was pronounced dead on the scene. The two medical personnel were transported to an area hospital with critical injuries.
