LOUISBURG, Kan. — One man has died following a wrong-way crash on 69 Hwy near Louisburg, Kan. Police said the accident happened about two miles south of K-68 around 5:30 a.m.
Police dispatchers said they received calls about a female driver in a minivan swerving and driving erratically in the northbound lanes. At one point, she crossed over the median, traveled for a mile and a half and hit another vehicle head-on. The male driver of the car died. The woman was transported by air ambulance to the University of Kansas Hospital. Police said she was coherent and talking when transported.
The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating to determine what caused the woman to drive erratically.
