One person killed after two-vehicle crash near Johnson County Community College

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Police were at the scene of a crash where one person suffered life-threatening injuries on Friday morning. On Friday afternoon police said that person died after they were taken to a hospital.

Overland Park Police say this happened in the area of College and Westgate at about 11:15 a.m., the scene is very close to Johnson County Community College.

One driver was headed westbound on College and did not stop at a red light, colliding with the southbound vehicle at Westgate.

The driver of the vehicle that was hit was the victim who died, at least one passenger in that vehicle was also hospitalized, the exact number and condition of the injured isn’t given in a news release.
