One person killed after fight, shooting at Englewood Park in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person was injured in a shooting at Englewood Park at Northeast Englewood Road and North Troost Avenue.

The victim sustained life-threatening injuries around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday. When police arrived, officers located a man who stated he and another man got into a fight that involved gunfire.

The officers were told the injured man was in Englewood Park.  They found him there and when firefighters arrived on the scene, they determined the man had died. That man was identified as 18-year-old Tevin McCray.

Police have not given any more details on the victim, nor if they have any suspect information.
