OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Overland Park police shutdown eastbound Nieman Road on Tuesday at West 127th after a high-speed chase ended in a crash.

The incident began all the way across the state line in Grain Valley where police say two men broke into a home. They then stole a truck and drove across the metro. Grain Valley police chased the suspects until they made it to the state line where Kansas Highway Patrol took over.

The chase ended in a crash when troopers tried to stop the truck, which rammed into a patrol car before jumping the sidewalk and hitting a fence.

The two suspects were taken into custody, and the road was opened back up later that afternoon.
