Overland Park police identify body floating in pond near 95th and Metcalf

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — A death investigation began in Overland Park Tuesday morning, Aug. 20, when police said they found a body floating in a pond.

Officers were called to 95th and Metcalf around 7 a.m. upon reports of a body floating in a pond.

Police have now identified the body as Ronnie Freudenvoll, 37. Investigators said there was no evidence of foul play, and the man appeared to have been “dead for some time.”

The dive team helped police recover the body from the pond.
