OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Veronica Latas’ mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s after leading a very active life, so it has been a shock watching her mother’s memory slowly disappear.
“Garden Terrace is a community that takes care of all residents with love and care,” Latas said. “That helps ease the pain of slowly losing who my mother was.”
Her mother’s care team thought they were meeting in the lobby for a picture, but Veronica surprised them with a $400 gift card. The care team was thrilled!
